EDM New: If you're Dimitri Vegas & Like Mike and/or a fan, this is some majorly exciting news; the brothers are going to be featured in a brand new comic book based on Tomorrowland. The book is due out on July 17th. The story was written by Eisner Award (think the comics industry's equivalent of the Oscar Awards) winning writer Paul Jenkins (credits include Spider-Man, Darkness, Sentry, Inhumans, Wolverine: Origin, Batman) and is split over four separate comics, with art work by the Stellar Labs art team. The comic follows the two young stars whom have become the public face of the Tomorrowland festival as they are drawn into an impossible adventure to save the vital spark of creativity from the forces that would destroy it! "Paul Jenkins is one of our heroes,” say DJs Dimitri Vegas and Like Mike. “We loved working with him on this story and the way he brought this to the next level. We just created a new universe that we're going to expand exponentially in the next few years!" Given that Dimitri and Mike have been closely associated to the festival for the past few years makes them a great choice to lead the way in this new adventure.
Tomorrowland is already a heavily themed show and this comic sounds like the perfect way to integrate a storyline into the festival itself.
Those attending the show will see the comic elements appear around them and on stage scenes. The world of the graphic novel will come alive, says writer Paul Jenkins.
For our US readers, Tomorrowland recently announcement that the festival is set to expand for the first time outside of Belgium to Chattahoochee Hills, GA, on September 27th, 28th, 29th.
I would guess that you're familiar with Tomorrowland, as it's one of the largest and most popular (Tomorrowland in July in Belgium sold out all 180,000 tickets in under one second)electronic dance music festivals in the world. Given that it's a Belgium thing, we've never been, but the festival is going mobile for the first time and recently announced that they are going to Chattahoochee Hills, GA, USA on 27, 28, 29 September 2013.
