Back in February, Magnetic writer, Kartik Kumaraguruparan gushed about Makj's "Hold Up," describing the massive tune as a flurry of progressive, detuned, pitch modulated synths with a grinding tech house bassline. He ended the article with one very important statement... "Here’s to hoping this gets released soon…" Well, I'm happy announce to all you Makj fans and just fans of good music in general, that the wait is over and "Hold Up" is now yours for the taking. Makj has been causing quite the ruckus over here at Magnetic for awhile now... from impressing us with the monster hit "Crunch" to his remix of Sandro Silva's "Let's Go Tonight." If you haven't had the chance to see Makj play at one of his shows as a resident at Tryst Night Club in Vegas, be sure to keep an eye out for his appearances at Avalon in Hollywood from time to time. You don't want to miss these shows. "Hold Up," has been included in his sets for awhile now and it always gets the place going crazy. So what are you waiting for? Grab your copy from Beatport now and enjoy the monster electro house tune you've patiently been waiting for.
PS: All you producers out there will be happy to hear that Makj has just launched his official contest with Talenthouse giving up-and-coming producers a chance to create a track with him and release it onto a major record label. For details about the contest go here.
