I recently got the chance to sit down with two of the founders from LSTN Headphones to enjoy some fish tacos and chat about this new company and its philanthropic mission to help the hearing impaired around the world.
Inspired by brands like Tom's Shoes and Warby Parker, LSTN will make a donation to its philanthropic partner Starkey Hearing Foundation for every pair of headphones sold. I was given a pair of The Bowerys (as seen above, The Troubadour pictured below) to try out and not only are they aesthetically elegant with the wooden body, but they pack a punch that is really impressive for the size and price range. I've only seen one another wooden earbud before and LSTN's Bowery definitely trumped it.
With an on ear called the The Fillmore (also in Beech, Cherry and Ebony—all of which is scrap wood or reclaimed as they say) and a higher-end version called The Troubadours coming out soon, LSTN has a headphone for everyone's taste and budget.
We will be keeping a close eye on these guys (especially since they are down the street) and keeping you posted on news and happenings. So if you need a pair of headphones that not only sound great but will also give back to those in need, definitely check out LSTN.
