We've spent enough time in Chicago to know that summer is a magical time in the city. The energy is almost palpable. Winters not so much. We sadly haven't made it to the North Coast Music Festival as of yet, but we might have to make a trip this year for number four.
Friday, August 30th to Sunday, September 1st at Union Park—mark your calendars. This year’s headliners include the legendary Wu-Tang Clan, Afrojack and Colorado duo Big Gigantic. All fun, but. But. It's been 20 years since Wu-Tang released their seminal album Enter the Wu-Tang Clan: 36 Chambers and they will be performing the album in full. Oh yea, hip-hop staple NaS will also be doing this thing. This is just the first line up announcement, watch this space for the second wave, which will no doubt include more headliners. Hip-hop, EDM, soul, indie, jam, and a few points in between are represented. We predict shit will sellout quick like, so giddy up and take advantage of the early bird tix.
In addition to the festival proper, there will be a gaggle of after parties around Chicago, which will be announced closer to the festival date. If you buy a ticket to the actual festival, you'll have the opportunity to purchase tickets to the after parties before the general public.
