What a way to start the 4th of July holiday weekend in the city that never sleeps. Hundreds braved the blazing heat to experience a non-stop barrage of intense grooves with international EDM DJs Sasha, Maya Jane Coles and Guy Gerber at the helm of Verboten's first StageONE Brooklyn Waterfront series. Davide Squillace and Bill Patrick also upped the ante on the decks.
Properly mixing the best in electronic dance music, performance art, food, fun and games, Verboten topped itself with its largest EDM event to date. Ms. Coles delivered a mass attack of beats under the midday sun, hyping an already pumped crowd celebrating the nation's birthday in red, white and blue regalia (flags and scantily-clad music lovers paired nicely).
Everything from bass-heavy bangers to hypnotic video projections worked fans into a frenzy well into the evening as Sasha took over the stage and led us on a journey of progressive deepness. As fireworks lit up the night sky,the iconic Empire State Building illuminated in sync with the booming sounds emanating from Williamsburg's StageONE.
Check out the following party snaps from an Independence Day (and night) to remember. Well done, Verboten, if I must say so.
