It would be difficult to walk by the W Hotel Sunday Night and not notice the crowds of people awaiting to get in to the Drais nightclub. The recently transferred brand, Iheartcomix has taken over Sunday's at the rooftop nightclub, reinvigorating new life there. With a recent line up of exceptional bookings, things culminated as they featured mix-master artist A-Trak along with the up and coming, Cashmere Cat who has been acting as one of the most prominent producers in the future-bass scene.
With a date which correlated to both the X-Games and Hard Summer, thing's were obviously going to be heavy. Franki Chan opened up the night sporting techno vibes as the R&B catalyst, Cashmere Cat took over. The night was packed, filled with Hard Festival goers, the usual hollywood elite, along with those who missed out on the festival.
The dance floor was difficult to navigate respectively though you could always get outside and enjoy yourself by a cabana while still getting into the groove. When A-Trak appeared, the place blew up. He brought his rave-style tunes and then later explained that he didn't want to drop the same old "hollywood bullshit." He kept the night going past closing and even dropped Earth Wind and Fire at the end. Definitely a memorable night and definitely the place to spend Sunday nights in the future.
