In the 1980s it seems like it was all good for the musicians of the era to kick it with underage kids. They said to Benny Madrones "She's just sixteen years old, leave her alone" and he wrote a song about it. Then you got Paul Simon chillin' with Julio down by the school yard. I don't know WTF was going on there. And Stevie Nicks is wailing about the white winged dove being on the verge of seventeen- no matter how you word it that girl is still two years less than legal.
Anyway Andy Caldwell said the hell with it and decided to bootleg Nick's "Edge of Seventeen" into a new electronic music remix. It keeps the original guitar riff and vocals, and adds a hard style progressive touch. It turns into kind of a banger, and its available as an EDM download below. Just don't be a 40 year old dude driving around the 18+ clubs bumping this- that's not weird; it's creepy.
