If you're looking for proof that EDM culture is on the rise in the the United States, look at the relative success of several new electronic music "sleeper" albums that have dropped this summer- Disclosure, Maya Jane Coles and most recently Colette. Each album has brought a new sound (or revived some classics) to the scene, and EDM newbies that were once eating up the interchangeable big name artists are now at craving a more polished true school sound.
Enter the deep house super-group "Hot Natured"- comprised of Lee Foss, Jamie Jones and Infinity Ink. Definitely on the tastefully side of the late night vibe, each of the members are the go-to cool kids to book when it comes to setting a DJ line-up from the herd. Their new album "Different Sides of The Sun" is dropping September 2nd on Fffr/Big Beat. The title is in reference to the album's overall themes of/references to celestial spirituality, transcendence, and Egyptian pharaohs.
Vocalists include electro-legend Egyptian Lover, Kenny Glasgow of Art Department, S.Y.F. of Azari & III, Roisin Murphy, and Anabel Englund.
