The Los Angeles Times is reporting that the City of Huntington Beach is attempting to prevent an electronic dance music themed, ocean-front pool party from happening on September 14th.
The event is called "Wet Electric" and the includes musical performances by Eric Morillo, Paul Oakenfold, MakJ and more. In addition to the music, the festival is said to include a pool, bars, cabanas, water slides and zip lines. Its hours are from 12 pm to 9 pm.
Huntington Beach is attempting to file a restraining order against Wet Electric because they feel the event did not abide by "city zoning and subdivision laws". According to the Times, the event has all the proper permits necessary to operate on the California State run beach, and has been working closely with the parks association "in order to ensure the safety of those in the area".
Neither Wet Electric nor the City of Huntington has been reached for comment.
