No name has become more synonymous in the EDM culture scene with epic festivals than Pasquale Rotella. He's the man often credited for bringing dance music out of the warehouses and into concert halls and arenas. His interview with Magnetic in 2011 provided a revealing at a man now responsible for throwing the largest EDM festival in the world- Electric Daisy Carnival Las Vegas.
Currently, Rotella is now gracing the cover of the LA Weekly, updating us to where he left off in 2011. The Weekly leads with a celebrity studded helicopter ride into this years EDC Vegas:
A June super-moon hangs over the Las Vegas Strip as the futuristic ECO-Star helicopter cruises above the world's greatest neon canyon. On board are The Girls Next Door veteran Holly Madison, who once dated Hugh Hefner; superstar DJ Afrojack, who once dated Paris Hilton; best-selling author James Frey, who once embarrassed Oprah Winfrey; and electronic dance music's most powerful man, Pasquale Rotella.
The article's title aptly describes the subject of it's entirety- "How Pasquale Rotella Built His Rave Empire". Roella's life is noteworthy- from his marriage to a Playboy Playmate to facing criminal and civil charges stemming from his alleged dealings with Los Angeles Coliseum officials back in the Southern California days of the Electric Daisy Carnival.
