A few months ago, LA beat scene frontman Gaslamp Killer was involved in a serious accident while riding his motor scooter. He suffered serious life threatening injuries. Thankfully, he's making a hard fought recovery. In order to pay for his medical bills, Art Don't Sleep has planned a benefit show for GLK where a donation towards his recovery will get you in. Our homies at Gotta Dance Dirty have the full details of the event, but here it is in short:
On November 7, he’ll be joined by his friends and favorite bands for a benefit show at LA’s Mayan Theatre. Along with a lineup of surprise “very special guests,” the event will also unveil “The Gaslamp Killer Experience.” Admission is free with a donation, which will help him eliminate his medical bills. Tickets will be first-come, first-serve, but entry can be guaranteed by donating $50 for a special gift pack. For more information, head to the website of promoter ArtDontSleep.

And if you're in LA tonight, the Gaslamp Killer will be returning to Los Angeles beat-scene mecca Low End theory to reprise his role as a resident DJ there. This event marks the club's seven year anniversary and will feature extended sets from all the resident DJ's including Daddy Kev, Nobody, D-Styles,and MC Nocando.
