EDM News: Magnetic's Guide to Escape From Wonderland 2013

It seems like just yesterday we were walking around the electric grounds filled with wanderlust,  nonsense and curiosity on a beautiful adventure with our festival family at Insomniac's Nocturnal Wonderland. San Manuel Amphitheater was transformed into a world of Cheshire smiles, Teacups and happily "Mad" Hatters, surrounded by larger-than-life stages adorned with mushrooms,  trees, owls and other mystical elements of our neon world.

MAGNETIC RECOMMENDS:Nocturnal Wonderland Event Recap

Nocturnal was staged as the perfect goodbye kiss to summer, and the invitation to welcome colder, longer... and much, much darker nights. As the darkness of the nights creep upon our brightly lit world, strange and unexpected happenings begin to occur. Unexplained transformations of the Amphitheater change as quickly as the leaves on the creaking branches of the mummified trees. The Cheshire smile, once so inviting begins to take on a twisted, sadistic form, and the cheerful teacups begin to blacken and contort. This place is no longer a dream world-- this horror is the dark, demented side of Wonderland.Welcome to your pretty little nightmare...welcome to Escape from Wonderland.

Although still a relatively young festival, Insomniac's 3rd Annual Escape from Wonderland promises to deliver a production as big, and as massive as the Wonderland name famously lives up to. This years festival will include custom-built haunted houses, maniacal 3-D mazes and three uniquely terrifying Halloween Haunts, along with twisted carnival rides- all of which are sure to open the deeper, darker consciousness of the mind.

Be afraid of everything, you have no idea what's lurking behind the corners of Wonderland...

The artist lineup announcement caused one hell of a stir upon the initial release-- why? Well, we suppose because Tiesto, Kaskade and Skrillex were already booked. We happen to think that this is one of the most diverse, well thought out line-ups that Insomniac has presented for a themed festival... Dark. Demented. Twisted. Deep. Yes, we'll take it all. Here are our Artist picks for the night:

4:00 PM - 5:00 PM OPTIV at Chopping Block
5:00 PM - 6:00 PM AC Slater at Chopping Block
6:20 PM - 6:50 PM Emma Hewitt at Ghoul's Graveyard
6:50 PM - 7:50 PM Guy Gerber at Cannibal's Tea Party

Stay safe, stay hydrated and keep warm! Please be responsible for yourself and those around you,  and don't be afraid to ask for help! Free water, as always will be provided as well as the purchase of water bottles. Insomniac reusable water bottles may be brought into the event, as long as they are empty! (Highly suggest the purchase of one of these babies- especially if you are fest-head!)

Those who attended Nocturnal Wonderland at the San Manuel Amphitheater last month were part of  the mass sea of vehicles attempting to exit the parking grounds at 4:00 am. The parking was nothing short of a complete disaster. (Not to mention the $20 parking fee!) Thankfully, Insomniac has stepped up to the issue, and responded with new parking regulations, hopefully solving the early morning festival rush hour.

OPTION No.1: The Insomniac crew highly encourages festival attendees to catch the free  shuttle, which departs from the Auto Club Speedway in Fontana. Parking at the Speedway and the Escape Shuttle are both FREE for ticket holders, and will undoubtedly be the fastest way to leave the venue.

Option No.2: Carpool! This isn't rocket science (though you would be surprised...) To further encourage carpooling to the event, Insomniac will grant free general parking to vehicles carrying 4 or more people. Carpool vehicles will be parked in a priority lot, allowing ease of access to the exit post-festival. *NOTE: You MUST print a GA Parking Pass before parking! Please Click Here to print!

Option No. 3: Go big or go home! Purchase of a $20 VIP Parking pass is available to those who just don't want to wait. VIP Parking Pass Available Here
