I can tell you one thing, it's not going to suck. And you know what, I'm right. It certainly doesn't suck. It's really f'n good. Bowie vocals, Murphy sythns, it doesn't really get much better than this. But if you read the headline, you already know all this.

Remixed here by James Murphy for the DFA, Murphy’s minimal keyboard work (undoubtedly a hat-tip to composer Steve Reich) only helps enhance the themes of aging and sadness in the song—and that’s to say nothing of the referential, 33-year-old “Ashes to Ashes” riff/refrain that also permeates the song. The accompanying video is equally creative, and was filmed in Bowie’s office solely on a $12 flash drive. Bowie might be over 60, but in my book, his new work is still genius.
