"No second chances in the land of a thousand dances, the valley of million insanities." - Ryan Cooder, Los Angeles Stories
It is thought of as the city that shouldn't exist; that coastal town hovering above extinction. The mystique of the Hollywood Hills whispering through The Valley, the cries of downtown heard as far as Santa Monica Pier, the giggles of Beverly Hills bouncing through the track homes created as a suburban utopia. It is here that noir was born in tattered pages from the literary elite. It is here where crime and vice became romanticized, where the daytime was often overshadowed by nighttime indecencies.
This is our Los Angeles, the risky vision.
Magic Touch live sets mix the psychedelic ethos of San Francisco with the house movements of Chicago, Detroit and smatters the whole thing with a solid nod to the UK rave underground. In demand at festivals including Sonar, Unsound and CTM, as well as touring Japan, China, South Korea, Australia, Magic Touch is also traveling the world DJing at places like Berlin's legendary Panorama Bar, the Shelter Shanghai and Dommune in Tokyo.
Recently Magic Touch collaborated with Japanese producer Sapphire Slows for an EP out December 11th on 100% Silk. Early 2013 sees the release of a new Magic Touch track on the Derrick May & Jimmy Edgar We Love Detroit compilation. The producer is also working on a number of yet to be announced projects for 2013.
Join Downtown Lobby, Cream, FruitFlyLife & Gigit on Friday November 15th at the One-Eyed Gypsy in celebrating the seedy and ostentatious sound of the Los Angeles underbelly.

"She's in her private powder room sipping on champagne. Over satin gloves she slips on whichever jewels remain. Fluffs her sinful red hair, her pouty lips drink the potion. Applying sinful rouge in a circular motion. She's ready for the night. She's ready to dance. The discotheque is open. This Playgurl's looking for romance- as she approaches the club she can already hear the sounds. Faint muffled bass lines, people boogying down. Through dark corridors the discotheque lies. And the smiles that greet her match the stars in her eyes."
A NEW DIRTY DISCO PARTY TO WARM THE SOUL THIS WINTER SEASON.

SATURDAY NOVEMBER 16
FRANCESCA LOMBARDO, DROOG & MORE/CULPRIT AT NIGHT
LOS GLOBOS. LOS ANGELES
Sadly one of my favorite daytime destinations for top tier jams has come to a temporary seasonal end. The good news folks, they are providing pinnacle vibes and sounds for your listening and dancing pleasure once again in the perfect setting, tis the season.
Having bid adieu to the summertime rooftop series, Culprit adjusts its party vision for the night time. We return to the warm and welcoming confines of Los Globos, having hosted Tale of Us and Dyed Soundorom at this Silver Lake venue early last year.
Two artists on the headline bill for this kick-off are near the top of our list list of young rising deep dance music stars who excite us the most.
Francesca Lombardo joined the mighty Crosstown Rebels clan last year and is already that hugely respected brand's prime global ambassador. Her equally apt DJing and production skills, unique voice and that extra bit of mystique set Francesca apart immediately. Her soon-to-come artist album for Crosstown is an anticipated event.
Having been a part of large scale Get Lost parties around California this year, we couldn't wait to offer Francesca a chance to carry a party of her own, which we have no doubt she will do splendidly.
Clarian is a singular talent, a deeply gifted musician and producer whose Footprintz project was being set to conquer the discerning music scene. Despite Footprintz premature demise, Clarian's creative output is as vibrant and unique as ever. He has joined the Culprit ranks by remixing Climbers recently, as well as landing his vocals to the Culprit debut by ATAXIA.
