Top 10 Tracks Of The Week In House Music

Here we are in the first week of 2014 with ten treats for all you house heads. If this chart is any indication, this is going to be a big year for house music.

1. "Shadows In The Night" (Original Mix) Alexx Rubio Feat Louie Fresco

Out now on Mexa Records, this deep groover rides real low until hitting a mean guitar solo that would usually sound out of place in house music but Alexx Rubio executes this cross pollination of rock and house like no one we've ever heard before.

2. "Jack" (Original Mix) Rackel

Rackel originally produced progressive house and trance but has just now switched over to house music starting with this release on PhD. The acid stabs throughout the track with layers of hi-hats and claps littered all over it will make you nostalgic for acid house circa 1988.

3. "It Was Our" LEFTWING & KODY

Leftwing & Kody have given us a plethora of quality deep house tunes all year long and they plan on starting 2014 with this mega-tune called "It Was Our" off of their "I Know" EP to be released on January 13th.

4. "Down Down" Low.Tales

The two Italian-born, Swiss-raised cousins that go by the name of Low.Tales bring us a little gem that that is due out on January 7th.

6. "Lenoix" Marcus Worgull & Peter Peter Pardeike

Here we have yet another epic tune from Innervisions that is completely above all the rest. The Innervisions camp has taken house and electronic music to a space where only art exists and genre does not belong.

7. "I'll Be" Full Intention

Full Intention is back!! "I'll Be" is quite the house chugger as it is simply meant to keep you dancing. Layered on top of this chugger is a sample of an early 90s downtempo classic that has yet to be ID'd but whatever it is we like it and so will you.

8. "The Dub Feel" (Urulu's Anxiety Mix), Ben Mono

Garage house maestro Urulu turn's in his first remix of 2014.

9. "My Beat" (Original Mix), Veerus & Maxie Devine

Released on December 16th on Suara via the Suara Showroom 21 Sampler, "My Beat" carries the tech-house flag loud and proud.

10. "Sunday Anthem" (Dene Antony Remix), Hector Couto

Dene Antony's remix of "Sunday Anthem" gives the tune that heavy garage throwback 90s house sound that we are all in love with at the moment.
