D’Julz was inspired early on by the sounds of house music and techno when he lived in New York for an extended period of time in the early 1990s when most electronic genres had not been defined yet and there were no clear boundaries between house and techno. This inspired the sound he pushes today with both his club and record label. “This Is Bass Culture” displays this genre blending by weaving through techno & house without ever establishing a single foothold in one genre.
