Indio Police seem to have everything under control at this year's Coachella, reporting eighty total arrests over the three day music festival. Most of the charges are breaking about 50/50 between alcohol and drug related offenses.
Ben Guitron, spokesman for the Indio Police Department told the Inland Valley Daily Bulletin “We’re happy, we’re good. Perfect would be no arrests and everybody behaves themselves, but there’s a human element and humans make bad choices sometimes.”

Guitron went on to say that the amount of events was right on par with what you might expect at any large events.
“If you look at some other big event like an Oakland Raiders game, how many people get arrested at those,” he said. “There was nothing really significant this year and there were no major issues with traffic. It was pretty good.”
The second weekend of Coachella starts this Friday, with the lineup of artists as this past weekend. Tickets are sold out.
