Joel Zimmerman, aka deadmau5, slammed Arcade Fire yesterday after hearing of front man Win Butler's "Shout-out to all the bands still playing actual instruments at this festival" comment during weekend 1 of Coachella.

Butler's "shout out" was most likely a vocalization of the common rock and roll stereotype that electronic dance music is not real "music", as it is mainly produced on computers, synthesizers, and drum machines instead of guitars, pianos, and more traditional instruments.
Never one to hold back, Zimmerman went on twitter today and stated:
What are your thoughts? Is EDM any less of an art form because it is made on computers as opposed to a guitar? Is opera better music than rock and roll and EDM?
