House music DJ Kaskade (winner of our 2014 "DJ March Madness" competition) was caught on the way out of LAX a couple days ago by the paparazzi. He was asked whether he thought Ultra should move from its current home in Miami to another city after some negative incidents occurred at this year's event. Kaskade was pretty firm in his belief, stating Ultra "has to" happen there.
He equates it to Electric Daisy Carnival's move to Las Vegas after it was pushed out by the City of Los Angeles. Kaskade says "The real EDC takes place in Los Angeles, at the Coliseum".
MAGNETIC RECOMMENDS: Miami Commissioner Puts Together Worst Of Ultra Video
Some Miami officials are calling for and end to Ultra in their city, and have gone as far as to put together a video some of the worst behavior they could find at the three day long event. This "behavior" includes this year's trampling of a security guard after a gate to the festival grounds was overrun by a crowd.
If you feel like Kaskade and would like to keep Ultra Music Festival in Miami, an online petition has been launched. The petition states "Recently, certain City of Miami officials have called for an end to Ultra Music Festival at its current home of Bayfront Park in downtown Miami. In order to stay at Bayfront Park we need your support now."
