House music lovers and the music community at large mourn the death and celebrate the life of pioneering DJ Frankie Knuckles. Deemed the godfather of house music, Knuckles is credited with creating the genre which was named after Chicago club, The Warehouse, where he often played during the late '70s and early '80s. Knuckles sound and approach to music influenced DJs and producers over the next four decades—a legacy that continues to inspire today.

Anders Trentemøller will take his five-piece band on the road for 5 gigs in the States. Kicking things off at Miami's Ultra Music Festival this past Saturday the 29th, followed by a show at Brooklyn's Music Hall of Williamsburg on Monday the 31st that's already SOLD OUT. From there the band will travel west, with a stop at Concord Music Hall in Chicago leading to a pair of California gigs: one in Los Angeles at the Fonda Theatre, and the other at San Francisco's Mezzanine.
The shows are billed as "Part One" of Trentemøller's US touring in 2014, and it is apparently "to be continued," suggesting there's more stateside bookings in the works for later on.
