Modern day disco lords...HORSE MEAT DISCO!
With nearly a decade in existence, the four man dj club collective Horse Meat Disco have continued to lead the way in the disco field with packed residencies at their HQ Eagle London in London’s inner city Vauxhall, Cielo and various venues in New York, Prince Charles in Berlin and Silencio/Wanderlust in Paris. Inspired by the music of New York’s heady club scene in the 70s & 80s the collective have earned a unique reputation for throwing epic parties with unmatchable sets. The quartet of djs each mix their own individual interpretations of the disco sound. Expect all manner of dancefloor movers from classic to cosmic to deep disco, italo, punk funk, house, even techno, electric bangers and just plain old rare oddities. This ferocious foursome will keep the fire burnin to finish off your weekend, when they headline Sunday alongside MOVE D at Sadie!! Ya dig?!

MONTY LUKE & MORE/ TRANSIT
TBD. LOS ANGELES
Leave your baggage at the door and your soul on the floor…
For part duex of the TRANSIT series Marshall Lake will be the conductor of the evening guiding you on a journey of vibes with a soundtrack provided by some pretty serious talent.
MONTY LUKE ~ A revolution in sound – a forever push towards forward thinking; a man unafraid to explore the space beyond the assumed boundaries of electronic dance music. What began in Brooklyn quickly spread, as Monty spun his way across the west coast, honing in on a raw, brain-pumping sound that would catapult him into the great unknown.
JASON KENDIG ~ Jason Kendig obtained his first record player at age 5, his first synthesizer at age 7 and started buying dance records in Detroit in the early ‘90s. Since then, he has graduated to a master DJ as his record collection of House, Techno, Disco, and Italo continue to crowd his living space. Currently living in San Francisco, he is a member of the Honey Soundsystem collective
CROMIE ~ A true selector and master of the turntable. Cromie has been cutting his teeth as resident Dj for the past year with Los angeles royalty Ronda International.
TRANSIT 002 ( Message for the evening )
To be fully seen by somebody, and then, be loved anyhow - this is a human offering that can border on miraculous.”
Friday MAY 16
OPTIMO & JACKMASTER/ LIGHTS DOWN LOW
TBD. LOS ANGELES
How low can you go hoe?
LIGHTS DOWN LOW , SF and now LA dance party institution is back and ready to blow your mind and move those fancy feet. Smile now, RAVE later. This is what’s upppp….
LIGHTS DOWN LOW RETURNS FOR ONE LAST UNDERGROUND OF THE SEASON!
OPTIMO and JACKMASTER under one roof. For one night! They said we are crazy for this one and we couldn't agree more. Crazy in love!
Both of these parties and record label honcho's have inspired us over and over again and now it's time to watch them in action, doing their thing ALL NITE LONG. We hope you join us in losing control, losing track of time, and losing some sweat as we jack to these amazing sounds. Who knows what wildness OPTIMO will throw into the mix? What does JACKMASTER have up his sleeves? We know what to do tho, with heavy hitters like this in the club. Give them plenty of room to flex musical muscle and buy the ticket and take the ride. Always interesting, inventive, and creative this is going to be a wonderful nite.
Optimo started as a reaction to 4/4 techno all night long. Anything goes was the philosophy and the club night proved to be a hit. "I didn't care whether it would work or not, or whether anyone would go, it was just something I had to do," says Twitch. "I love DJing with all my heart but at this point I was so bored with seamless mixing - it was all just too obvious, too predictable and too easy - that I had to do something to preserve my (in)sanity."
Don't expect easy club hits at a night at Optimo, depending on the duo's mood, the sound will veer from sleazy funk to post punk, electro, 50's swing and anything inbetween.
You never know exactly what you’re going to hear with Jackmaster. The element of glorious surprise is crucial to his sets: from the lost Dance Mania gems he spends his time unearthing to forgotten Disco tracks to straight-up house and techno sets, the Numbers co-founder has more options up his sleeve than just about any other DJ out there – and a rare knack for connecting seemingly disparate styles with each other.
JUST SAY YES TO ANOTHER EXCESS.
SATURDAY MAY 17
ALEX NIGGEMANN, LAUREN LANE & MORE/ MINIMAL EFFORT
TBD. LOS ANGELES
For the 4th installment of MINIMAL EFFORT they’ve got your Saturday night on lock with sounds from Berlin native Alex Niggeman to California cutie Lauren Lane and more!
Bringing the addictive waves of electronic music, the following warehouse event series hosts a destination for underground music lovers. MINIMAL EFFORT bends and shapes to suit genres held dear to all house music connoisseurs. Held every month in an industrial private setting, Minimal Effort will be hosting talent from around the globe.
ALEX NIGGEMAN (POKER FLAT, BERLIN)
Persistent, stubborn, straight ahead! - Alex Niggemann can be best described as idiosyncratic, impulsive and self-critical. What might be construed as negative for some people, are attributes that have paved the way to a remarkable career for this DJ and producer. His strings of releases and remixes on labels like Get Physical, Tsuba , Supernature, 8bit, his own imprints AEON and Soulfooled and others reaches back to 2005 and showcases the stylistic variety of the 1984 born producer who's able to handle vocal-heavy house music as well dark'ish techhouse for moving masses. But still: thinking of terms like "Chicago", "Detroit", "mids 90s" and "Techno-House" will never miss the point when it comes to Mr. Niggemann's timeless, high quality output as these are and have been highly influential in shaping his sound of today.

Following a sell out first collaboration between Plastic Love & Jack with Levon Vincent earlier this year, the two brands reunite to bring two box fresh bookings to LA, in the form of the mighty HORSE MEAT DISCO and new age house music guru, MOVE D.
With Horse Meat Disco bringing down the house to a packed tent of thousands at last years FYF Festival, it's clear the four man club behemoth from London are definite favorites in the city of Angels. We are delighted to have them back for their first club show in LA in almost two years.
Jack welcomes back the man who started it all, playing the first ever JACK party in Los Angeles..
If Move D's profile wasn't high enough, the German house music specialist is the perfect foil for the his fellow euro counterparts on the bill. As every underground spinners favorite DJ, David Moufang has attained cult status from anyone who knows and appreciates house music in all it's forms. This was no better demonstrated than by his recent mix compilation - Fabric 74 - which was released at the end of February to critical acclaim.
