New Electronic Music Chart- Electro/Progressive 5/14/14

Get ready for your weekly dose of all the hottest new electronic music in the realm of electro and progressive house tunes. Nicky Romero asserts his electro dominance with an insane edit of John Christian. Third Party will make you feel good and Ibranovski will make you feel weird.

1. "Next Level" (Nicky Romero Edit) John Christian, Protocol Recordings

Romero nailed this edit, because the synths riding the beat are absolutely stimulating. I hope this one gets played at EDC New York live. Out May 26th.

2. "Everyday of My Life" Third Party, Size Records

Heard this once and became obsessed. The uplifting tune of the week is hands down provided by Third Party. Out May 27th.

3. "Flash Hands" Michael Woods, Diffused Music

Woods continues the successful reboot of his sound. I recognize some of the sweeping synths from Ctrl+Alt+Delete that really give this new track an epic feel. Out now.

4. "Kingdom" Jewelz & Scott Sparks, Doorn Records

I first heard this track when I was running and losing steam. Once I heard the earth-shattering drop constructed by Jewelz & Scott Sparks, I got my second wind. Out June 2nd.

5. "Filthy" Ibranovski, Smash The House

The name of this track is so fitting. The pitch-defying riffs will make you get weird. Out now.

6. "Vargo" Danny Howard & Futuristic Polar Bears, Spinnin Records

Futuristic Polar Bears continue to craft banging tunes, this time teaming up with Danny Howard. A driving electro beat punctuated by slowed down vocal drops. Out soon.

7. "Sunshine Thru Rain Clouds" NERVO feat. Duane Harden, Ministry of Sound

NERVO tries their hand at a harder electro drop than their previous progressive tracks. This summer banger still emphasizes vocals, staying true to NERVO's style. Out May 18th.

8. "5 Days" FTampa, TBD

I'm happy to see Brazilian producer FTampa doing so well since I covered him in one of my first charts. Since then, he's had releases on Revealed Recordings and his current track was played on Hardwell On Air. Hypnotizing melodies set us up for insane drops. Out soon.

9. "Derp" Bassjackers & MAKJ, Hysteria Records

A worthy pairing of two of the wildest electro production sounds in the business. This is sure to get played on loop at the summer festivals. Out now.

10. "Don't Pass Go" Cobra Effect, Rising Music

This one will put you in a state of electro trance. Glitchy synths ride atop a serious bassline. Out now.
