This week we've got new electronic music that premiered at the several epic EDM festivals this week - EDC New York, MysteryLand and Sunset to name a few. I personally attended EDC New York and was very pleased with the new music that the likes of Tiësto, Hardwell, Ummet Ozcan and Dannic dropped. We also have some tracks by up-and-coming talent that I hope to hear played out live in the near future!
1. "Big Bang" (Bass Modulators Remix) twoloud, Musical Freedom
Tiësto dropped this monster during his set at EDC New York while I was right in front of the stage subwoofers. I was not expecting a hardstyle drop. Previously relegated to the underground, it looks like hardstyle might be getting more exposure. Out June 23rd.
2. "Colors" (Leeo & Cignature Remix) Tritonal & Paris Blohm
Young Boston producer Cignature is back! Teaming up with Leeo, Cignature perfects Tritonal's oft-remixed track. This collab really takes things to the next level! Available as a free download via the SoundCloud stream below.
3. "Big Love To The Bass" Daddy's Groove vs. Nari & Milani, Ultra Music
Daddy's Groove never disappoints, this time teaming up with Nari and Milani to bring us a heavy-hitting club-ready weapon. Love the progression of synths that plays out on top of the main beat. Out June 13th.
4. "Armed" Edson Hausman & The Manager & Pascovski V, Spinnin' Records
This track was featured in the Spinnin' Records talent pool, which provides a platform for young and talented producers to receive feedback from other producers and the Spinnin' Records team. A subtle melody paves the way for a massive room-destroying track that I hope to hear in an NYC club soon. Out June 5th.
5. "Samurai" (Tiësto Remix) R3hab, Spinnin' Records
Tiësto never lets his guard down, still cranking out hard progressive tracks under his standard name despite having TST as a side big room alias. This mountain-shaker of a remix was dropped several times at EDC New York. Out June 27th.
6. "One Way Home" Denzal Park ft. Jon Hume, Neon Records
A truly uplifting track that grows on me the more I listen. Massive orchestral synths heralded by Hume's heartfelt vocals. Out now.
7. "Darkest Days" (Apocalypse 2014) Arno Cost & Norman Doray ft. Dev, Spinnin' Records
A hypnotizing melody and enchanting female vocals guide us into a late-night drop. The vocals get spliced up and used as samples that bounce over the drop. Out June 2nd.
8. "Rubberband Lazer" Chocolate Puma feat. Maikal X, Dim Mak Records
Chocolate Puma went from hard electro to tech house and now they've created an electro-esque track that's somewhere in between. Clearly, Puma's different experiments with their own sound are all coming together. Out now.
9. "Carbon" Kill The Buzz, Revealed Recordings
I continue to have my eye fixed on Kill the Buzz ever since his epic remix of "Siren." This time he comes at us with a heavy-hitting original fueled by driving synths. Out on June 6th.
10. "Summer" (Ummet Ozcan & R3hab Remix) Calvin Harris, TBD
This hard remix of Calvin Harris' new hit really does sound like a melding of Ozcan and R3hab's signature sounds. I really enjoyed jamming to this when Ozcan dropped it at EDC New York. Release date TBD.
