Synonymous with forward thinking electronic music Los Angeles, Steven Lira and his Dark Tones brand have been putting a mark on the city's house and techno scenes for several years. Most recently, the native Angeleno can be found DJing such LA hotspots as Sound & Couture- helping to usher in a new facet of taste to a city previously known more for its bottle service, mini tube dresses, and celebrity sitings rather that it's thriving underground.
MAGNETIC RECOMMENDS:Top 10 House Music Tracks Of The Week
This past week, Lira released Innovation Motion, a mix capturing some of the dark, tech-y grooves driving Los Angeles today. Clocking in at just over one hour and fourty five minutes, it's an impressive mix well suited for the connoisseurs of electronic music. The selection is masterfully curated, balancing modern sounds with familiar new classics. Talking on the mix, Lira says:
I felt this mix would symbolize the embodiment of where the music scene going forward is at with my touch of Dark Tones. Future musik, underground, techno, deep house, & innovation motion conscious vibes to say the least.. This mix takes us on a journey from the Winter/Spring onto the hot summer ahead.
