THURSDAY JUNE 26
THE GRAND STAR JAZZ CLUB. CHINATOWN
“Dripped” is a chic fashion soiree that had generated quite a buzz in the fashion, music and art scene in general. Showcasing some of L.A’s most blooming young talents and visionaries in a full production fashion show with visual art, live performance and over 35 vendors offering their cute ass clothes for purchase. I personally left “dripped” in new swag from my last experience attending this gem of an event. With so much visual eye candy and audio pleasure to indulge in, you’d be a silly basic bitch to not attend. Held by steezy maven and newly a momma GGeisha, expect next level displays of style.
This installment features Aussie darling and rapper...POW!
Peep her video here and see if you can spy my silly ass in the backround. :)
THURSDAY JUNE 26
RAIZ & MORE/FUTRA
For a conceptual, and visually stunning experience while listening to stellar electronic music visit FUTRA. My girl crush “Natolagy” curated the Art and if anyone knows how creative and cool that chicks mind works, then they will be there with bells on.
“FUTRA begins with bass heavy resident Dazz Moov. Then we team up with Natology for the visual art experience PSUEDO & MORPH happening at 11PM. Curated by Natology and featuring performance artist Jos McKain and Lindsay Scoggins' visuals this is a meditative piece on the human body and its ability to shift into an amorphous state. First the art becomes you, and then you become the art. Raíz of Droid Behavior/VRV responsible for many unforgettable dance events over the last ten years in LA and worldwide will set the mood. Doubt, a Midwest underground veteran, will debut FUTRA with a live set of mostly unreleased and unconventional material seamlessly blending disparate styles.

Grime, distortion, dissonant harmonies and the sound of decay while still maintaining versatility as a DJ weapon that can be played in the club sphere.” http://www.disposablecommodities.com/

Natology presents PSEUDO & MORPH
Featuring Jos McKain’s performance Oxidation and visuals by video artist Lindsay Scoggins. Pseudo & Morph is a meditative performance on the devolution of the human body and its ability to shift into an amorphous state. This meditation is intended to diffuse gender pairing, silhouetting a nude male and juxtaposing him against Scoggins’ signature video work. The ideas center on replication as a form of evolution, both intellectually and socially. First the art becomes you, and then you become the art.http://www.natologyproject.com/

Quality music is born from the soul but gifted life through the gathering of like-minded people on the dance floor, giving wings to friendship and feelings to thought. Every Saturday at Exchange, good music and good memories bloom. This is the Inception of something beautiful.
Change has been a constant theme throughout the successful career of Green Velvet, but as he has crossed genres, explored themes from the comedic to the serious and changed monikers, the common thread running through the music he has made for nearly two decades is its roots in and dedication to the Chicago House sound.

SATURDAY JUNE 21
TONE OF ARC & MORE/BASK
THE STANDARD. DTLA
Cap off a killer weekend basking with some of L.A’s finest. Harmonic presents a fully loaded daytime fiesta featuring sounds by;
TONE OF ARC “Live”, SANDEMAN, JENILUV & DELINQUENT FREQUENCY!!!
“On June 29, precisely one week after the summer solstice, the gentlemen at Harmonic return to BASK, their summer staple at The Standard rooftop. This sun-filled session will be made up of long time Harmonic compadres, who so happen to also have created quite a name for themselves in underground dance music. The main event this day will be an always-rockin’ live set by TONE OF ARC (No. 19, Touch of Class), comprised of Derrick Boyd and Zoe Presnick. They keep their show tight, and it’s always getting better. The constant evolution of their set is a true testament of their talents and artistry. The same goes for the next bad boy on the bill, SANDEMAN (of Wildkats). Harmonic’s decade-long friend Stuart aka SANDEMAN has been moving and shaking for days now with his project WILDKATS SD (formerly ‘Wildkats’), His solo work has seen him several releases and remixes on Get Physical and Niem, and his dj sets are no joke. This dude brings the party wherever he goes, and Harmonic could not be more pleased to have him! Everyone knows west coast tastemaker JENILUV, a dj in the truest and purest sense. A procurer of our scene, and an overall guaranteed good time! Tying up this day of bad A’s are the beloved dj aces, in-house delinquents, and five and a half year Harmonic residents, DELINQUENT FREQUENCY, made up of Jake Patrick and Matthew Derham. This will indeed be a grand ol’ day of music, so come out ready to party! Doors at 1pm until 8pm. Please RSVP to ensure entry: email@example.com. Early arrival suggested for optimal pool spaces. Let’s do the dang thing.” -HARMONIC CREW
