For years, the UK has been an important epicenter for the foundation of reggae and dancehall music. There have been tons of great acts who are influenced by the sound and have utilized it in electronic music productions. Glasgow’s reggae dancehall sound system project Mungo Hi-Fi are one such example. Their recent remixes for Major Lazer have been very well-received and caught them a lot of attention. The collective’s new album ‘Serious Time’ released today via Scotch Bonnet Records implements live brass to digital bass bangers. The album also features vocals from the likes of Mr. Williamz, Soom T, Charlie P, YT, Marina P, Solo Banton and Parly B.
Today we’re premiering the official music video of “Dancehall School”, their collaborative track with Solo Banton. The video’s light comical nature is set in a school and depicts a regular day in the life of dancehall academia.
