Techweek brings together a mixture of entrepreneurs, visionaries, and thought leaders for a week long celebration of all things tech. The approach is to bring together an entire tech community under a single 7-day BIG TENT and then shine a global SPOT LIGHT on this ecosystem.
In addition, Techweek prides itself on having a mixture of both startups, growth companies and established large businesses. This mixture creates a self-reinforcing cycle of innovation.
Techweek had its inaugural Chicago conference in late July of 2011, garnering 2,500 attendees and
over 1,250 unique brands and businesses from all over the world. The conference doubled in size the following year with 6,000 registered attendees and included: an expo, a hiring fair, a developer summit, a gaming lounge, workshops, riverside parties, and much more.
“Orbitz applauds the success of Techweek 2012. This annual gathering is an important event in maintaining the focus of public and business leaders on this vital industry.”
- Barney Harford, CEO Orbitz Worldwide
Content & Organization
Leaders from all corners of the tech industry take the stage to discuss emerging trends, community impact, and everything in-between.
Each day of the conference, the expo showcases the newest products and insights from both established Fortune 500 companies and nascent startups. Exhibitors present their ideas and plans for the future in front of thousands of Techweek goers, making connections and potentially striking deals.
To make Techweek as intuitive as possible, the conference is divided into summits, organized by topic. Go International, for example, gathers tech players from around the world, while the Future of Media Summit explores the ever-evolving state of digital content. Beyond speakers, the expo and hiring fair both work within summit verticals, so you know exactly where you want to be at all times.
Techweek Chicago is Monday June 23rd to Sunday June 29th. For more info, visit their website.
