New Electronic Music- Top 10 Electro/Progressive Songs- Week of 7/10

Fourth of July weekend was a great time for new electronic music, as the world's top DJs played epic gigs across the country, dropping new bangers left and right. I personally spent my July 4th weekend in Atlantic City, New Jersey, raging to Tiësto and Afrojack at HQ Beach Club. One of our top 10 tracks comes from Afrojack, and the rest come from a variety of producers, including amazing up-and-comers Jacob van Hage and Halfway House taking the #1 spot! Let's do this!

View Previous Chart

1. "Panic" Jacob van Hage & Halfway House, Revealed Recordings

I've been dying to know what the name of this track was ever since Tiësto dropped it on an unsuspecting crowd at his album release party in NYC last month. A truly insane and unique electro sound. Out July 14th.

2. "Strong" Arno Cost and Norman Doray, Size Records

I first heard this amazingly uplifting track on Steve Angello's BBC Radio 1 Residency show. This is the song that will make you feel like you can conquer the world. Out July 28th.

3. "Will You Still Love Me?" Afrojack, TBD

I heard Afrojack drop this wicked remix of the Lana Del Rey original last weekend at HQ Beach Club in Atlantic City. The whole pool-drenched crowd drunkenly sang along before raging to the beat. Release TBD.

4. "Lovers On The Sun" (Showtek Remix) David Guetta ft. Sam Martin, What A Music

Showtek manipulates their signature sound to produce a David Guetta remix with a drop that almost sounds like a cross between deep house and electro. Add this to your late night summer playlist. Out now.

5. "Our Heroes" DDei&Estate, Musical Beatz

German producers DDei&Estate climb the charts once again with a marching drum beat and high-pitched synths. Love the vocal drop on this one. Out July 14th.

6. "Rocket" (Jay Cosmic Remix) W&W & Blasterjaxx, TBD

Full disclosure: this is a hardstyle track, albeit of an electro original! Hardstyle has recently been getting more exposure in electro/progressive DJs' sets, including Tiësto and Hardwell, so I think it's fitting to inject some into this chart. Jay Cosmic does an amazing job of making the melodic intro even softer than the original, while releasing an insanely explosive remixed drop. Out soon.

7. "Brakeless" Angemi & Prezioso, Revealed Recordings

Another banger hot off the Revealed press, Angemi & Prezioso take the existing Melbourne Bounce style and step it up to a higher energy level than its competitors. Out July 14th.

8. "Legend Comes To Life" Blasterjaxx, Mixmash Records

The Dutch duo powerhouse continue to release smashers, this time on Laidback Luke's label. Their signature melodies lay the ground work for a stirring late night drop. Out July 14th.

9. "Slenderman" Julian Jordan, Spinnin' Records

A playful title for playful but potent synths. The melodic progression from the intro sound to the drop is funky and masterful. Out July 18th.

10. "Crash" MOTi and Quintino, Spinnin' Records

A collab match made in heaven, MOTi and Quintino bring us an uplifting summer electro track with crisp percussive beats. Out now.
