Here's some refreshing news amongst all the "F' you, PAY ME!" multi-million dollar figures I hear getting tossed around - Eric Prydz' Epic 3.0 spectacular is not for the money.
In actuality, he may be in the red after all is said and done, and that's alright by him. Here is an excerpt from a recent interview in the Wall Street Journal:
"Eric Prydz, a longtime Swedish DJ and producer who also goes by the stage names Pryda and Cirez D is gearing up for a once-in-a-lifetime performance at New York City’s famed Madison Square Garden on Sept. 27. “Epic 3.0” is a show so big, it will never be repeated. In fact, it’s so big, he’s losing money on the gig."
“This is not a money-making venture for me,” Prydz explained during an interview for the WSJ. “That’s the way I’ve always tried to do things with these one-off projects.”
Good to see someone doing it for the right reasons.
