Earlier this month, 1 OAK hosted EDM culture's wonderchild Martin Garrix. The 17 year old looked as if he was having the time of his life and delivered a strong energetic set with a little bit of everything included for the diverse crowed to enjoy, and of course, our beloved “Animals”.
LA’s new hot spot, 1OAK, opened in January of this year and has already gained some serious traction. A black & white chevron floor welcomes you into the 800 person capacity room that displays custom art presented in glass casing, smooth rounded booths lining the walls, and a dance floor just big enough to welcome anyone who needs the room to move.
A balcony surrounding the venue boasts VIP onlookers who have strayed away from their tables of bottle service to people watch below, but they aren’t getting too close to the railing as it seems the security teams are being extremely cautious about any unwanted liabilities. The 1,000+ motorized lights on the ceiling and back wall, along with the hanging modern chandeliers, add a glamorous West Hollywood touch to the NY meets Vegas club that hosts both hip hop & house on Thursday and Saturday nights.
