FRIDAY OCT 24
7969 Santa Monica Blvd, West Hollywood
One cool CAT...
This party actually states on its event page “NO EDM” (read: No Afrojack, bro) which might piss off many of you readers, but makes me giggle a bit. Expect eclectic jams from all genres (disco is in fact played which made it ok for me to cover this too cool gig) but if you ask for EDM you might just get punched in your precious kitty grill...or just called a pussy which would also suck.
“Cat Face is a party where it's cheaper to get in if you let us draw a nose and whiskers on your face, because we think it looks better like that.
Model Featured: Pamela Francesca @pamelafrancesca
A Cat Face should be applied with care and attention and be properly maintained throughout the evening. No-one likes a dodgy cat face. It's just a simple nose and whiskers. And no cat ears and shit. Those are the rules. No idea why.
If you let us draw a nose and whiskers on your face then it's only $5 bucks to get in. If you don't want to draw a nose and whiskers on your face that's ok, but then it's $30 to get in and everyone will look at your funny and maybe roll their eyes and say stuff about you behind your back. “
Here are the photos from last party:
And also a video:
No acting like a Cat.
No other Cat paraphernalia apart from a nose & whiskers.
It's not a Cat Appreciation Society. “

“My favourite artist at the moment is Ceephax Acid Crew. It’s Andy Jenkinson, Tom Jenkinson’s brother (aka Squarepusher). Its fucking wicked. It’s funny because if people ask me “So, whos going to be the next big star of electronic music?”, I always say him. But he only does a new track like every three months or so. I’m his biggest fan and I’m always raving upfront at all his gigs.” – Richard D. James (aka Aphex Twin)
