There’s an adventurous side to music culture that’s often overlooked, and Akomplice and Ride have just gone there with this collaborative collection. Scratch that - they’ve been shredding that side of the mountain for quite some time. We posted about this partnership earlier this year, but now the apparel has finally arrived along these photos.
This raw, natural fashion is seemingly in complete contrast with the glow and glitter of mainstream electronic music. But that’s the beauty. That’s why it’s relevant. There’s more to the culture than music and crowds. There’s the style and adventure behind it all. It’s the hiker, snowboarder, surfer - explorer - in us who takes this same adventurous spirit to festivals all over the world. Akomplice and Ride are seeking adventure with the new lookbook and they've nailed it.
On the heels of their short film shot by Carlos Marciales comes the photo lookbook featuring Ride Pro Rider, Alex Sherman. The collaboration is based on the shared thread of reverence for the outdoors and with each project Akomplice continues to push the boundaries of exploration of the outdoors. The spirit of adventure that both brands hold dear is illustrated through each image, which transports the audience deeper and deeper into the Patagonian woodlands. The collection is a mixture of slope-side staples including a co-branded board, boots and bindings as well as high quality gear for après boarding featuring a waterproof shell, down jacket, tees, crew necks and 5 panel complete with ear flaps.
