Fresh from winning their debut live performance at SoCal’s Escape: All Hallows’ Eve, Louis Vivet return with their debut song, a reimagining of “Save Tonight”, the late-90s one-hit wonder from Swedish rockers Eagle-Eye Cherry. Their cover’s been getting a lot of tractionacrosstheblogosphere as a track as perfectly honed for a Saturday jaunt as for a festival drop. As one SoundCloud commenter put it, this could be “what heaven sounds like”. “Save Tonight” swells with the effusive elegance of its two guest vocalists, Gabrielle and Nick Goldstone. There’s an air of lamentfulness in their voices that seeps into the joyous melodies and upbeat production. It plays with your emotions masterfully, deftly precise from beginning to end. The track will feature on the duo's debut EP, releasing next year on Prep School Records. For now, check it out below and grab the free download.
