Pioneer just announced new headphones with a pretty wide frequency response - and they won't hurt to keep on your head.
The Pioneer HRM-7 studio headphones are well-suited for the studio but are also meant for use at home. According to Pioneer's Professional Sound and Visual Division Director, they "have a natural response ideal for all types of music listening including high resolution audio."
The headphones are able to generate a frequency response from 5 Hz to 40 kHz due to the newly developed 40mm HD driver with a copper-clad aluminum wire voice coil. They also aim for more unobstructed sound and increased bass and audio response with the "dual chamber" air chamber. For comfort, Pioneer is using a "3D ergonomic" design that combines an adjustable headband, replaceable ear pads and hybrid memory foam.
The HRM-7 headphones will come with detachable 1.2m (coiled) and 3m (straight) cables, replacement velour ear pads and a gold-plated 6.3mm stereo jack.
The Pioneer HRM-7 headphones will be released in March with a suggested retail price of $239. Check out the video below and visit the official website for more info.
