Unexpected and genre-clashing collaborations have become more and more associated with electronic music as the years pass by, but this one might take the cake.
American rock band Toto, known for their success dating back to the 70’s and the ubiquitous track “Africa,” recently announced on Facebook that they were writing and working with What So Not and Skrillex. And now we are starting to gain more information.
Another post on What So Not’s Facebook page confirmed the collaboration and mentioned that it was “An incredible experience”. George Maple appears to be involved now too.
No date or title has been officially set, but What So Not’s forthcoming EP is shaping up to be one of the biggest releases of 2015. Collaborations with Dillon Francis, KLP, and A$AP Ferg have also been confirmed, and we wouldn’t be surprised if Flume and Emoh had a few more tricks up their sleeve for the release.
