It's a festival that attracts some of the most eccentric revelers and DJs alike. A festival that's won numerous awards and attracts over 50,000 people per year. A festival that's been an dreamers escape for the past 12 years. And it's a festival that's been exclusive to the UK until now.
Bestival just announced that it will finally expand to it's reach to North America when it arrives in Toronto on June 12th and 13th this summer. The lineup last year included Beck, Disclosure, CHVRCHES, SBTRKT, Major Lazer, Basement Jaxx, Sam Smith, Outkast and plenty more. And curating guru Rob da Bank will be aboard once again to help develop the the North American lineup.

“We have waited 12 years to decide to launch another Bestival outside of the U.K. and our beloved Bestival, on the Isle of Wight, which has grown into one of the most important festivals in the global calendar. It took a really special city, and an even more exciting site, with Toronto and Toronto Island, to make us take the leap. So, the waiting is over and we are so excited to be launching in North America in June, with a classic Bestival line-up waiting to thrill, intrigue and party!" -Rob da Bank
You know the festival is legit when the usually dry press release speaks about drinking "deep from our admittedly eccentric English cup" and encourages you to "whack Bestival in your best scrawl" on your calendars.
Bestival Toronto will be set on Hanlan's Point Beach on the shore of Lake Ontario. Tickets haven't been released yet but you can sign up for updates and gawk at the video preview below. Whack away on that calendar, folks. This is gonna be fun.
