Benjamin Francis Leftwich – Won’t Back Down (Boehm Remix)

As Tom Petty seems to be the talk of the town recently, we thought it quite appropriate to bring you a Tom Petty cover remixed tropical house style! No, there’s no controversy, yes there is amazing musicality! A soft male vocalist sings the familiar lyrics of Tom’s seasoned hit, then a diverse onslaught of instruments begins and Boehm’s star subsequently rises. This is contemporary tropical house at its finest, it’s innovative and forward thinking, but its priority is a chill tasty groove. This song is a mai tai, nuff said.

Stimming ft. Lazarusman & Pezzner – Stay the Same

Stimming is not one for anything ordinary, and here he delivers a slight bit of psychedelia. It’s a trip that seems to be tripping on itself, starting with a great guitar sample that revolves smoothly over itself. Overall, it’s a rhythmic dream, and I could live in this song for hours.

C.r.y.s.t.a.l feat. D33C33 – Epidemic

Dystopian visions of the future really make some of the best works of science fiction. Now, take that same dystopian perspective and apply it to techno and you hit the mark. Hailing from Hackney, East London, C.r.y.s.t.a.l has created an imaginative song looking to a dark future. The ominous voice of D33C33 and C.r.y.s.t.a.l’s production talent transcend the status quo of merely making a good song, they make a sonic work of cinema. Do not fret though, all hope is not lost, it is up to you to dance away this epidemic!

Wih’lo – It’s True

Just kick back and embrace a little bit of serenity from a creative creature that goes by the name of Wih’lo. This song slows it all downtempo, and it is the type chill that gets your mind wandering in a dreamy fog. Wih’lo is an American producer taking clear influence from UK electronic greats such James Blake, Mount Kimbie, and dare I say, Burial. ‘It’s True’ is a song full of emotions needing a little bit of processing and meditating. So, if you are looking for something to get pensive with and consider the deeper thoughts in your life, then press play and let Wih’lo take you away

Rae Sremmurd - No Flex Zone (xandr flip)

A hot bit of hip hop gets the high energy remix it deserves! A Magnetic Magazine favorite up and comer xandr flips Rae Sremmurd’s ‘No Flex Zone’, making his presence known with electro flourishes and embellishments. xandr does a great job of bringing himself to the forefront of the song while naturally meshing with the original’s strengths to make something fun and fresh. You know, it really is a beautiful thing when different worlds collide unexpectedly. After all it could be a sign of the next big thing. Take note of xandr, I certainly have!

Atlas Bound – Talk (Jerry Folk Remix)

If anything, this song is sultry. A passionate, amorous crooning glides along some of the best deep house I have heard in quite some time, and the energy is all working towards a frenzy that could lead to tragedy or a heroic victory. There is a sense of loss that resonates, and the amazing distance that wavers throughout gives the song a massive perspective, so if you want epic deep house, Jerry Folk has the hook up with this Atlas Bound rework. Oh, and apparently this Jerry Folk character is 19 year old from Oslo, Norway. World, you have been warned, Jerry Folk is coming to conquer.

Royal - Passenger

Oh yeah, this is a song that goes right for the feels. It is not exactly definable, but I guess that is why it fits nicely in this genre called Future Bass. This is a great song that is chill and emphasizes the percussive, but all in all, it is one impressive soulful piece of music. With an EP that released on January 26, Royal is making moves in twenty fifteen with deeply personal music. Oh, might we also add that we have nothing but the utmost confidence in him? He is blessed with a strong enough voice to express all! We’ve written about him before and will almost certainly continue to do so. How to Dress Well and Active Child, you got a new kid on the block.
