Described as the longest-running electronic music festival in the world, Mysteryland has kept people dancing for decades. And now they're taking the festival even further.
The festival took root in the Netherlands roughly 20 years ago, and after spreading to Chile in 2011, reached the United States last year where it filled some pretty big shoes - the Woodstock Grounds. Now, what was a traditional one-day festival in Haarlemmermeer, Netherlands is turning into a more modern celebration.
The original Mysteryland event is turning itself into a weekend festival. The festival will take place August 29-30th of this year once again in Haarlemmermeer. Do yourself a favor and try and make it to the secret caravan stage.
With the time extension, the festival is promising a wider variety of music from "energetic house" to "obscure techno" to hardstyle and "retro disco". This means curators like Spinnin' and Beatport, but also Planet Delsin and Radio Noet Noet.
Stuck in the US? No matter. Mysterland is set to return to the Bethel Woods of Woodstock Memorial Day Weekend (May 22-25th, 2015).
