Shep Pettibone – Pleasure Principle (Classixx Remix)

Classixx are really just the nicest, sweetest guys around. Even when they are hard at work on album numero dos, they find time to give some love to their fan’s with a bootleg production of Shep Pettibone’s ‘Pleasure Principle’ (a capella) from 1986. The song has the definitive and innovative warm synths that are easily recognizable as Classixx, and the beautiful vocal may be from the 80’s, but it sounds perfect for the contemporary. Full of love and chill, this is a song that is going to thrill. Another classic from, you guessed it, Classixx!

Kygo x Ed Sheeran x Notorious B.I.G. – I See Cali

Let’s take a rap god to the tropics, oh and Ed Sheeran can come to. Kygo is proving his merit with every release, and he only shows signs of growing bolder. I could not think of a more intriguing, yet perfectly relaxing trio of artists to come together to make something like this mashup that is clearly just crazy enough to work. I have noticed a lot of the younger artists of late are paying tribute and reworking Biggie, and it’s a trend I hope continues. Never forget the past, it can only help you move stronger into the future.

Going Deeper & Xandl – We Got It

Emotive deep house can stop you dead in your tracks. It will take you over, and with a vim and vigor that only progressive house seems to be able to fully engage, and with a blend of both Going Deeper & Xandl one hundred percent got it! It has an old school feel in a new school style, it’s the best of every house world past, future and present. This is the song that once you finish listening to, there is a sigh of sadness as it fades from the speakers, but then… BUT THEN YOU CAN LISTEN TO IT ALL OVER AGAIN!

TroyBoi – Remember

It seems that trap polarized the EDM world. Many people welcomed it, others quickly derided it, and now it seems to be developing wonderful renewed energy in the form of chilltrap. A name to remember is TroyBoi… This work of chilltrap is going to infect you, zombify you, and get you going all sorts of buck wild, but with a cool sensual style. Indisputably a trap work, but with a much more mature sensibility. Call it a victory, TroyBoi is a winner with “Remember.”

Teem – Proof of You (Whaleskin Remix)

Funky, funky, funky! Oh yes, it is true, this fresh selection has a whole bunch of funk in its step. There is also a touch of the chill wave, a la Neon Indian or early Washed Out, and when you have the chill funk wave in full effect, you know we at Magnetic are all about it. This song is the type that takes you to a very visual place where you can see the band, you can see yourself, and you can perfectly picture the best party ever. So, with all that being said, close your eyes, and let us know where this song takes you.

Episode – Hold On (Salda Remix)

A frequent Magnetic favorite, and always consistent, Salda is at it again. This remix of Episode feels to be a graceful journey back to the 80’s with the tools of the present day. It has that nostalgic 80’s cinema stylings which is so warm and full (Think John Hughes). Romantic and fully capitalizing on an amazing voice, Salda has made a remix that is full of smiles and tearjerks.

Nightriders – In Your Eyes

Fans of the deep and meditative, you are in for something special with our latest Fresh Premiere of ‘In Your Eyes’ by Nightriders. They are a duo from Boston who pursue the moodier side of the house music spectrum. Slow moving, soulful and at times hypnotizing, Nightriders make much more than mere dance music, they make something for your mind, body and soul.
