Cool video. But I still feel like I'm on Earth.
UZ just dropped a new music video for Trap Shit V20 and no one was more surprised than Gizmodo. We're not saying they were on something, but they did sound an awful lot like a club kid caught in the rave lights.
We're also not saying UZ's new music video is bad. It's just... it's a light suit people. Not even a rave suit really. Calm the fuck down. We've all seen Tron.
In the UZ video, two dancers dance... with light suits... in a tunnel lit by more lights. It's a cool looking video with talented dancers, but that's as far as it goes. The contrast isn't often full either, meaning you can clearly see the suits and background in most shots.
Not that this isn't better than many videos out there, it just isn't anything that distorts our view of reality or makes us ponder our place in the cosmos.
"[It] completely warps my view of reality. My eyes logically think that this is happening in another world." - Gizmodo
We might go as far as agreeing with the less-exuberant "cool" category under which the tech publication filed the article, but that's about it. And we don't have a "cool" file. So that puts an end to that. To be fair, it's also a Vimeo Staff Pick so they're not the only ones.
Maybe we've just become too desensitized by all the flashing lights and glowing bullshit. If anything, it just goes to show that EDM culture has expanded so far it's gone back in time before the blinding romance wore off. We're at the point now where places are even starting to ban the stuff. So it can't be that cool right?
HT: Gizmodo (Sorry Giz, we had to poke fun).
