Maceo Plex just announced for Movement Detroit
This is it. One of the biggest underground festivals of the year just dropped it's complete lineup including Brodinski, Maceo Plex and a return from Dog Blood.
Movement Detroit is regarded as one of the longest-running independent music festivals in the country which means it's been doing it's own thing for a while now. Lineups include big names but there's always a bigger focus on pioneers from the past, present, and future. To that end, this year's Movement Detroit lineup is aa massive as any other festival lineup out there.
Skrillex and Boys Noize were already on the bill as Dog Blood, along with Richie Hawtin, Eats Everything, Carl Craig and several more. The full lineup adds Brodinski, Maceo Plex, Method Man, Sinistarr and others. Luciano is also on the bill and just dropped some great words of wisdom on video.
In a newly announced collaborative set, Carl Craig will also perform with Mad Mike Banks. This is part of Craig's Detroit Love concept which he discussed in a recent interview. Juan Atkins will also be putting on a special show, celebrating his legendary with a performance under his Model 500 alias.
Movement Detroit has moved way up from its warehouse roots, but it still carries that raw underground energy you can't hold down. The festival takes place Memorial Day Weekend, May 23 - 25. Tickets still available.
