Top Tropical House/Chill Chart 3.20.15

The best of tropical house and chill music is back and badder than ever. This week we went a little deeper. We got dance charged, and the kernels that you started off as this work week will be popping off once you hit play.

Shake off your troubles, rock your Ray Bans and spike your punch with a little paradise flavor. A fantastic summer anthem from Le Youth, new originals from Autograf and Patrick Lite and a throwback jam from our tropical promoter friends at Dancing Pineapple are a few highlights to throw open your curtain and let the sunshine in.

Whether you throw this on at your desk, on the beach or getting ready for a night out, this happy hour has smiles for miles.

QUICK NOTE: The full playlist can be found HERE Enjoy!

1. “Hold My Hand (Le Youth Remix)” Jess Glynne
This song tastes delicious. If you loved Jess Glynne’s track “Real Love” with Clean Bandit then this is your new favorite. Roll down those windows and let the LA producer make your day more beautiful.

2. “Ego (Bearson Remix)” Tove Stryke
Bearson mauls the speakers with tropical musings on a seductress song by the ever so talented babe Tove Stryke. This official remix is out on iTunes so support the movement and grab the track for your weekend playlist!

3. “I Know You” Speaker of the House
Where have these guys been?! This melodic deep house rockstar is at the top of all my playlists from here until the end of summer. This is what day parties are made so call it an early night after a day of fun in the sun and booty shakin.

4. “Atomique” Patrick Lite
Mr. Patrick Lite has the soul of the ocean. The cold weather native closes his eyes and dreams of paradises far away creating music of a perfect paradise dream. This progressive house tinged original is a new evolution in his sound and I’m glad he’s trying new things out. Grab the free download on his site!

5. “I’m a Ghost (Niklas Ibach Remix)” Hilltop Hoods
Niklas Ibach goes a little deeper and the song selection is fantastic. The rock rap stylings of the original give it a head bobbing pulse. I’d love to see this in a club and watch the patrons nod their head in approval to the music.

6. “Dream” Autograf
I’ve watched Autograf grow and rise to the top of the heap of tropical influenced producers in the last few months and finally comes the big breakthrough. Their first original “Dream” is an absolute jammer with a sexy crisp vocal and chill attitude. I cannot wait to watch them open for Klingande at the Fonda Theater tomorrow night and hear this live.

7. “Blood Love (Big Wild Remix)” Young Summer
Big Wild rocked CRSSD Fest last weekend in San Diego and 2015 is looking like big things for this rocker. His music has the best kind of energy and gets things dropping down low. It’s got a jazzy Odesza-esque vibe and this remix of swooner Young Summer’s beautiful track is no slouch.

8. “Midnight Hearts” Sam Feldt & The Him ft. ANG13, Spinnin’ Deep
We’re going a bit more deep house melodic pop with this banger but its the perfect compliment to that energy we try and capture in this chart. You can feel that warm sunshine and your heart glowing for the babe dancing next to you. Grab em and kiss em already!

9. “King & Cross (TEEMID Remix)” Asgeir
I love the original crooner and this remix unleashes its energy. Asgeir’s voice matches perfectly with the sexy deep vibe TEEMID achieves, reverbed and rich with loving feels. Get down and set the tone of tonight with this seductor.

10. “Nothin’ On You (N2N Tropical Remix)” B.o.B & Bruno Mars
N2N has always done it better than most at remixing songs we love both chill and anthemic but this is his best foot forward with creating a party anthem. This is a song you close out a set with. B.o.B & Bruno Mars’s sing a long is turned into some simmering hip-trop and its ready to belt out at the club.

11. “When I Come Around (Renko & ICHI Remix)” Dancing Pineapple
The tropical house family is growing strong and with it has come an emergance of some refined palette tastemakers and promotion groups like The Dancing Pineapple, Tropikult and others. These channels are highlighting the big and small of the good vibes house genre and have begun working with some great upcoming artists to promote their sound. Enter Renko & ICHI who create a delicious dance vibe to one of my favorite childhood anthems. “Dookie” was my first CD so I have a soft spot for anything off the album. Not to mention this remix is glowing bright and rips the top off of what kind of tracks can be tropified. Check out their Soundcloud pages linked above for a daily dose of paradise flavors.
