This is for everyone that might be ashamed to listen to Martin Garrix at full blast in their car. Rising Los Angeles DJ and production duo Charity Strike just took on the Dutch superstar, and the result is absolutely massive.
Bringing a new approach to "Forbidden Voices," we hear the progressive house sound pursued in the original replaced by elements of future bass and even some light trap.
We have to give credit to Garrix for much of the impressive synth work in the original though. No need to hate on a track that comes across as inspiring, but many might find it too festival influenced for their taste.
It still has that upbeat tempo and large nature that can be dropped in major clubs and certain festival settings, but it gives off a more personal vibe that will lead to listeners pressing repeat well into the summer.
We hear this song and we instantly think pool party, and with Coachella almost underway and many more festivals around the corner, there is no time like the present to get down on Charity strike.
The LA duo is about to have a big year, so cop the free download and jump on the train now before it leaves the station.
