Counterpoint Music & Arts Festival has announced some big additions to its lineup which already included Dillon Francis, Zedd, Kygo, Zeds Dead, and Knife Party (among more obviously below).
Griz, Excision, EOTO, Zomboy, G Jones, Kastle, Louis Futon, Bearson and "local favorites" Jerry on the Moon have been added to the Georgia festival. But it's one name in particular here that really piques my interest. In fact, every time this year that I've seen a festival add artists, I've looked for this name.
Bearson's mix to "Venice" by The Lighthouse and The Whaler blew me away (if you can find it) with it's tropical nostalgia which seems to come and go on an ocean's breeze. As for originals, "Pink Medicine" is one to check out. Tropical "house" is huge right now but this Norwegian artist is at least one of my favorites out there, Kygo included. Definitely someone to check out live.
Counterpoint will also feature a silent disco which I highly recommend. I can actually speak first-hand for these and they're always great for some grooves and laugh (when you take your headphones off and see people dancing in silence). Bearson will be there as well along with AO Beats, Manila Killa, and many more.
The first step in going to seeing all this is getting a ticket.
