Holychild, the LA band behind that song in the Apple Watch ad, have released their aptly-named follow-up single "Money All Around" just ahead of their tour with Passion Pit. And it's yet another indication that these two are about to take off.
Surpassing the fame of "Running Behind" would be nearly impossible, but the new track does a good job of keeping the duo on their feet after being shot out of Apple's canon.
Once again, they seem to have their hand on the power switch - turning the track from groove to crush in an instant, flooding the music with bass and synths. In fact, the beginning sounds a bit "future" with its eyes only for bass. But by the time the switch is flipped, Holychild once again rattle the foundations of pop music.
It's about our culture's obsession with fame, bodies, and money, and how that affects personal relationships.
We can't imagine these two will be any further away from the money and fame once the album drops - for better or worse. Both "Running Behind" and now "Money All Around" are off their upcoming album The Shape of Brat Pop to Come due June 2nd. Tour dates with Passion Pit below.
