Kaskade at IMS Engage 2015 at the W Hollywood
The International Music Summit took to the W Hollywood in LA this past week and featured a ton of artists sharing insight on the past, present, and future of music. Future being a key word for Kaskade who had some notable thoughts on a popular buzzword which was met with a few laughs.
I just don’t like the word ‘future house’, 'cause house is the future. There’s no such thing as future house. We’ve been living in the future since freaking 1982.
And speaking of the future, Kaskade also revealed that much of the music he played at Coachella was so new his wife hadn't even heard it yet. You can hear more insight from him on the video below which also features comments from Seth Troxler, Chuck D, Jake Udell, and perhaps most powerfully from Quincy Jones.
Quincy Jones threw out a kind-of warning if you will, "God walks out of the room if you go in there to make music for money."
Check out more comments in the video recap below along with our live Tweets directly from the event.
