You typically don't get to see and hear the details of what goes into your new favorite summer anthem (let alone one featuring a Grammy-nominated vocalist), but today you do. Emerging artist Jack Novak runs you through her brand new anthem "Driving Blind" from strategy and inspiration right down to the very plug-ins she uses.
At this point, her name is starting to stick. Novak is a self-taught producer from Chicago who moved to LA to set up her own studio, is set to perform at Lollapalooza, and now has a new single with multi-Grammy-nominated vocalist Bright Lights (see Hardwell, Zedd, Benny Benassi, Bingo Players and more).
In this behind-the-scenes video, she takes you into the main lead synths, kick & drop and her favorite plug-in. It all gives you a comfortable amount of detail in case you weren't looking to hear a sleepy lecture.
As bright as the track is in mastered form, it's interesting to hear how much brighter it could have been without a particular chain. Check out both the track and what all went into it below.
