What Went Down @ Fauxchella:
So first off, let’s talk about all the amazing parties we hit… and how slow the 1978 VW Bus goes. We will break it down for you by day and we have another full recap from our second #TeamFauxchella team that hit just about every party happening, so stay tuned to Magnetic Mag for those reports.
Thirsty... Need Music. #TeamFauxchella has you covered
Friday - It was all about stocking up, getting the lay of the land and figuring out just how well our little vintage VW bus was going to handle the desert heat. The #TeamFauxchella bus and Mini Cooper pulled out of LA at 6:30 am (no fun) and loaded up with all our gifts, gear and bags. We soon realized that getting the VW past 60 MPH was just not going to happen, so after irritating the entire interstate for three hours or so, we finally made it.
We took a quick break at our new temporary home in Palm Springs and headed out to stock up on the beverages from Rockstar Energy Drink and Resqwater. The Resqwater Recovery house was pretty much how you do it – a lux mansion with a small number of VIP guests, a pool, plenty of booze and a DJ to set the mood. Unfortunately we couldn’t stay, but things were starting to get warmed up for VIP guests prepping for their Coachella adventure.
We then blasted by the LED event at the Hilton, looped around to some other spots to check in and then headed home to regroup with the second half of #TeamFauxchella, or as we called them, Seal Team Six. It was time for a disco nap and then a rally to get our asses out to the Zero Gravity party, where Paris Hilton ruined our night.
Ready to rock her BEATGASM towel at LED Day party
Saturday – #TeamFauxchella remarkably came together on time, proceeded to assemble and got out the door (important since Fauxchella has limited day time hours, most parties go from 12 pm – 6 pm).
Our friends from Seal Team Six went off to do what they do (they will have an entirely different recap) and the BEATGASM bus crew headed to the Hilton to settle up at the LED Day Party and head in for some fun.
After a couple of hours we packed up our gear and moved on to The Saguaro where the Refinery 29 party was popping, then quickly drove by The ACE where things were winding down and made a last stop at The Hacienda where Lee Burridge and company were winding down their “All Day I Dream” party.
We met an amazing assortment of music fans, DJs, new artists, industry people and media types. The evening was upon us and it was time to prepare for the craziness that is Neon Carnival. Sunday was going to HURT (and it did).
Rocking Her New Arnettes
Sunday – Not fun. Not fun at all. We peeled the remainder of ourselves (and our dignity) up off the floor, slammed some caffeinated beverages and proceeded to prep for the final day of the #TeamFauxchella BEATGASM gifting bus.
Of course there was only one place to start the day, it was at The ACE for the legendary DO OVER party. We pulled up around 12:30 and the place was already starting to get packed with a line snaking its way into the courtyard behind the back pool. Then the awesomeness happened.
The key to the bus snapped in half. Literally snapped in half. We quickly worked on finding a locksmith and just decided to set-up the bus right there behind the hotel. After a an hour wait we received a Fauxchella miracle and found out there was a secret spare key (thank the pool gods).
We picked up and headed out to the BMF Music Lounge sponsored by OP & Mudd clothing where we were treated to chilled vibes, great drinks and mellow crowd. We even met a dude that thought it was a good idea to dye both his hair and his beard a sort of electric blue, so we put some Arnettes on him and snapped a pic to prove it (see gallery).
After powering up, it was over to the Saguaro for a lap, then to the LED Day party and finally ending our day again at the Hacienda where the Hot Creations crew were doing their thing.
