Sven Väth has been in the game for a long time now. The German techno and house producer stormed onto the dance scene in the early 80's, solidifying his status as both a pioneer and tastemaker in both the past and current landscape. Beyond his own accolades, he's also been instrumental in the rise of Cocoon Recordings, a cutting edge music platform that started as a party series in the mid 90's.
These events were groundbreaking in their own right, and the record label has pushed releases by world-renowned producers like Loco Dice, Guy Gerber, and much more. The label continues to support young artists and pump out big tracks, a mantra that started in the early 2000's when Cocoon was established as a label.
In honor of all this, we were able to get Sven to put together an exclusive chart of ten essential tracks from the label. He only does this about once or twice a year, but in conjunction with UDG Gear we were able to pull it off. The forward-thinking company that makes DJ travel gear has been a long time supporter of Sven and his movement, and working with both of them together only made sense.
Included in the playlist is a massive remix by Adam Port of Sven Väth, taking on "Ritual Of Life" with a special 108 mix. Along with that is a track from the upcoming Ricardo Tobar Collection album, launching in May on Cocoon. Dive into the chart, and let us know which tracks stand out to you.
