Afrojack Bio

Publish date:

Afrojack, aka Nick van de Wall, offered hard-hitting EDM underground releases in his hometown of Spijkenisse (Holland) before becoming internationally recognized in 2011 because of “Take Over Control,” an instant worldwide club and chart hit that went platinum in the US. The recipient of two Grammy Awards, his talent continues to be sought after. One Grammy was for Best Remix (Madonna, “Revolver”) and another for Best Rap/Hip Hop Track for his co-production duties on Chris Brown’s “Look at Me Now” (2011). In 2012 his single “Can’t Stop Me” with Shermanology was all over Top 40 radio in the US, while his underground club hit “Rock the House” topped the Beatport charts after just 3 days, making it one of the fastest number one records ever. Wall Recordings is his pioneering club music brand and every release seems to insure continued success! Afrojack has collaborated with David Guetta co-writing and producing the worldwide smash “Titanium.” He has teamed up to write for pop artists, and in 2011 he co-wrote and produced “Give Me Everything” for Pitbull and Ne-Yo. A staggering five million copies have been sold! And then we have his work for Beyonce’s “Run the World (Girls)” & his Grammy nominated remix for Leona Lewis’ “Collide.” Afrojack’s skills go beyond the mixing desk, however. He’s been one of the world’s top performers undertaking grueling tour schedules. In 2012 alone he began his North American “Jacked” tour with multiple sold out shows featuring his growing posse of Wall artists, before embarking on the same concept throughout Europe with 7 shows a week throughout that summer. In addition to his own shows, he headlined both EDC NY & Las Vegas to 300,000+ people, as well as the UMF in Miami + Tomorrowland and many other major festivals throughout Europe. Earning his place as an EDM great already, Afrojack is far from finished with what he has to share. We anxiously await another artist album; we want the beats to go on!
